Bone Density & Osteoporosis:
Learning Objectives
In learning about Bone Density and Osteoporosis, we focused on diagnosing people's health using density and we learned about significant figures. We used density, volume, and mass to calculate if patients were diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis using specific bone samples that were taken. When finding the density of the sample, we needed to write our answers in the correct significant place to make our answer more precise.
Diagnosing people's health and writing numbers in the proper significant figures relates to jobs in the medical field because measurements are important. Measurements are used for things like height, weight, and temperature.
